FLSA:  Non-exempt OR Exempt

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range:  $1,600 per month for1 2 months for 10 months of work

PURPOSE:

Under the direct supervision of the Director of the Student Disability and Accessibility Center (SDAC), the Testing and Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services Assistant Coordinator is responsible for overseeing testing accommodations for students registered with SDAC. The position also supports Deaf and Hard of Hearing support services needs. This team member works with a high degree of self-direction, while responding to student requests for services, problem-solving challenges, and supporting communications at multiple levels. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:

Test Center Scheduling and Testing Services

  • Coordinates and schedules testing of students with disabilities, and provides alternate options timely and in collaboration with SDAC advisors as needed.
  • Independently provides testing and proctoring services to students with disabilities.
  • Prepares materials and/or arranges for testing materials to be returned to the academic department(s).
  • Coordinates with SDAC Advisors and/or academic departments to confirm test dates, and secures alternate test facilities when needed.

Test Center Coordination

  • Works collaboratively and in coordination with the Testing and DHOH Coordinator for the overall accommodated testing program and services to students with disabilities.
  • Maintains and updates  the Test Center’s processes and procedures
