Position Summary
The AD, Franchise Medical Strategy role is a member of the Global Medical Oncology Thoracic Strategy Team who is accountable for driving launch excellence as a core medical capability and delivering innovative planning and execution solutions for the Thoracic and H&N Franchise. The Franchise Medical Strategy Lead focuses on two key capabilities: Launch Excellence and External Medical Engagement. The lead will collaborate routinely with the Global Medical Teams and the cross-functional Medical Matrix. Some key additional Commercial partners of the team include the Lung Commercial Strategy, Scientific Engagement, Events and Meetings Center of Excellence, Strategy & Operations, and Digital Hub teams. This position will focus on the Thoracic and H&N Cancers therapeutic area.
Key Responsibilities
Works closely with Medical Product Leads, Medical Scientists and Matrix Team members in driving excellence in congress planning, franchise activities, external engagement strategy, pull through and execution for overall franchise related to Thoracic Cancers.
Assists in customization and utilization of Medical Launch Playbooks to support new launch plans
Assists in the development of new therapeutic area TL identification plans
Assists development and distribution of unbranded educational resources through multi-channel, multi-format communications to prioritized targets.
Assists in planning and execution of WW/US Medical Advisory Boards
Assists planning & execution of TL engagements forums (Grand Rounds, Connection Forums, Thought Leader Encounters at congresses)
Prioritizes high-impact initiatives and drives activities that deliver value to customers, with more focused execution
Works closely with Commercial, Congress Strategy and S&O on innovative planning and execution solutions to maximize operational functioning at the Franchise level.
Collaborate effectively with internal key stakeholders to facilitate the planning and execution of medical functional plan and other medical activities
Effectively manage external vendors to deliver projects on time and on budget
Consolidates and disseminates lessons learned, best practices, and innovative ideas across the Medical Matrix, Therapeutic Areas, and Regions
Qualifications & Experience
Advanced scientific degree (PharmD, Advanced Nursing Degree, PhD).
Minimum of 3+ years working in the pharmaceutical industry (Medical Affairs/Medical Strategy, Clinical Research) with experience in the lung cancer therapeutic area is preferred.
