The ADP Program Overview
The Actuarial Development Program (ADP) at Lincoln Financial Group is an industry-leading program that demonstrates Lincoln Financial’ s commitment to creating highly qualified business leaders.  As an ADP participant, you’ll be able to explore your unique interests while developing the essential actuarial, technical, management, communication, and leadership skills you need to succeed. The Actuarial Development Program includes a series of rotations, typically every 18-24 months. For each rotation, roles are available in different business areas including Life and Annuities, Retirement and Group Protection. Experience gained will enable participants to become well-rounded actuaries with knowledge that may include Product Development, Pricing, Valuation, Modeling, Risk Management, Asset Liability Management, Investments, Data Analytics, and Internal Audit.


ADP participants are expected to pass the Society of Actuaries’ exams at a prescribed pace. The program is designed to support you as you work towards your FSA and provide the training and resources necessary to become a well-rounded actuarial leader.

Lincoln has an exciting role open for an Associate Actuary on the Annuity & RPS Strategic Modeling Team. This is a project-based role spanning multiple product lines. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, modeling and quantification of new regulatory requirements, implementation of cutting-edge modeling techniques, model consolidation, and model improvement. The candidate is ultimately expected to understand the models as well as the business and support in uncovering key business insights for management.


The position will provide a great opportunity to gain exposure to a broad array of modeling purposes such as Valuation, Capital Management, & company-wide initiatives as well as the opportunity to learn about the modeling techniques and tools used in the process. 

What you'll be doing

•Deliver model solutions, impacts, and analyses for large regulatory, strategic, or technical initiatives/requirements in Annuity & RPS Valuation & other regimes.
•Research and analyze model developments that directly impact and drive success for the Annuity and Retirement Plan Services business. 
•Develop insights on critical areas of focus, collaborating across key stakeholder groups including Corporate Finance, Risk Management, Capital Management, FP&A, Pricing, and M&A.
•Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders on development and implementation of reporting tools, methods, and analytics to support ongoing reserve and capital monitoring and reporting.
•Maintain and expand knowledge of annuity regulations, business trends and best practices. Stay current on potential regulation changes within the industry.
•Ensure thorough and organized documentation of analysis and findings.

What we’re looking for

Must have:


•4 Year/Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Actuarial Science or Mathematics 
•3+ years of professional actuarial experience 
•ASA designation with the commitment to continued progress toward obtaining the FSA designation within the expectation of the Actuarial Development Program
•Experience with annuity products, regulation and valuation
•Confident, comfortable communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Demonstrated project management skills including ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment
•Demonstrated relationship management skills with internal clients;
