Summary of Job Duties:

The Laboratory Support Technician supports the clinical laboratory through proper phlebotomy techniques, specimen accessioning and processing, instrument maintenance and laboratory testing as trained and authorized as well as other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School, GED or formal educational equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous laboratory or phlebotomy experience
• Experience with LIS Systems
• Certification in phlebotomy

Job Requirements:

• Receive, label, log, and process laboratory specimens accurately.
• Prepare samples for testing and transport to appropriate laboratory departments.
• Perform data entry and maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation.
• Operate basic laboratory equipment and ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness.
• Monitor laboratory supplies and assist with inventory ma
