Overview

The US Equity Research Department at Deutsche Bank is a top provider of sell-side equity research and offers coverage of ~700 companies across 30+ sectors.  We seek applicants with the relevant experience, deep industry relationships and to deliver Deutsche Bank’s Research product and facilitate the issuance of equity securities through ECM activities.  The role will be based in New York and focused on driving business across our Equity complex franchise.

Generalist Advisory Sales: responsible for driving client engagement and revenue growth with firm clients. This role involves developing and managing client relationships with institutional clients, delivering tailored solutions, and providing strategic insights into to support their investment decisions. The candidate will collaborate closely with internal teams, including research, trading, ECM, to offer comprehensive coverage and capitalize on market opportunities. Strong expertise in markets, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record of sales performance are essential for success in this role. 

What You’ll Do

  • Adhering to all internal policies and external/regulatory frameworks
  • Recording transactions and at times preparing related statistical reports
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with clients
  • May have responsibility for meeting set P/L targets,
  • Partner with relevant internal functions (e.g. Origination, Portfolio Management) and manage key internal and external relationships. May also represent the Bank/Function at relevant industry forums

How You’ll Lead

  • Develop and cultivate strong client relationships.
  • Work collaboratively with other parts of the bank to offer multiple products and solutions to clients.
  • Identify issues, gaps and process improvements through open communication both internally and with other bank areas, and through the monitoring of productivity against benchmarks.
  • Ensure that bank policies and guidelines applicable to the division are complied with to ensure that risk is appropriately mitigated.

Skills You’ll Need

  • Significant network and experience within the arena with extensive, in-depth product and market knowledge.
  • Proven track record of independently and proactively servicing multiple clients and effectively managing multiple priorities, while generating significant revenue.
  • Strong commercial acumen: understanding client/market problems, proactively tackling challenges and seizing opportunities as they arise.
  • Proven ability to coach and encourage a diverse team of talented individuals to achieve outstanding results.

Expectations

It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in office at least four days a week in the San Francisco branch office.

The salary for this position in San Francisco is $275,000.  Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications.  Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of renumeration.
