CITO - CHIEF INNOVATION & TECHNOLOGY OFFICER

The Chief Innovation & Technology Officer role is unique. You will balance risk and technology, people development and project prioritization, organizational strategy and resource constraints, team vision and in-the-weeds management. We are all hands-on contributors at Sunrise Banks. The ideal CITO comes with low ego, takes time to listen and learn, and is humble enough to say “I don’t know”.  

 

This position will encompass traditional Chief Information and Technology leadership roles while having a core focus on innovation and improvements in the following areas.

 

Innovation: identify, develop, prioritize, and implement new projects, products, and processes to improve the organization's competitiveness and market position. 

Change Management: lead and manage organizational changes related to new technologies, processes, and project / product management models. 

Future Trends: monitor emerging trends and technologies to anticipate future opportunities and challenges. 

Collaboration: work across different departments to foster a culture of innovation and increased collaboration. 

Digital Transformation: play a key role in leveraging digital technologies to drive innovation and business growth.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to build a deep understanding of organizational culture, mission and interdepartmental connection points
• Brings deep experience with governance, operational and regulatory risk management
• Budget conscious and able to allocate limited resources optimally to support various initiatives while maintaining financial discipline
• Adept at identifying and solving complex technological, people, and business challenges

 

Leadership and Communication:

• Exceptional leadership skills, particularly coaching and upskilling existing talent
• Excellent listening and communication skills: patient and able to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Strong emotional intelligence: able to motivate teams, manage conflict, and adapt communication styles and approaches in order to bring people along
• Skilled in organizational change, brings people along to extend the value of the team

EXPERIENCE

• 10+ years leading multiple teams
• Financial services sector experience beneficial
• Demonstrated abilities with the skill sets listed above

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

The expected starting annualized salary range is between $190,000 – 290,000 annually depending on experience and qualifications.  In addition, the position is eligible for the discretionary bonus program of up to 30% of earnings.
