Job Description
Lead and grow the Data Platform team that has 4-5 members in 2024, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and highly scalable data solutions.
Oversee the development and maintenance of our data platform and data pipelines, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
Ensure all data practices comply with HIPAA and other relevant data privacy regulations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data solutions into our digital health products.
Drive the adoption of best practices in data governance, data quality, and data lifecycle management.
Mentor team members, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Stay updated with emerging trends in data technology and healthcare regulations.
Promote a data-first and data-driven decision making culture within the company
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in data engineering with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
Proven track record in managing data engineering teams and delivering large-scale data projects.
Expertise in modern data technologies and architectures (e.g., Big Data, data storage, ETL, data warehousing, data lakes).
Experience in common data frameworks/technologies such as Apache Spark, Delta Lake/Iceberg, Snowflake, etc
Proficiency in programming languages used in data engineering (e.g., Python, SQL).
Experience with cloud computing services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data-related services.
Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
Strong understanding of and experience with HIPAA compliance and other healthcare data regulations is a plus
