About the role
Description
CNC Mill program operator is to be a well-versed programmer to ensure engineering/ customers blueprints are interpreted correctly. Ensure quality/ quantity meet Quality Assurance/ production requirements respectively. Comprehensive knowledge of CNC Mill set up/ tool changes.
Requirements
- Program, set-up and operate Fadal CNC Milling machines and/or Mazak CNC mill
- Have experience programming in Mazatrol language or G&M codes at the machine control
- Strong knowledge of machining principles, techniques, and practices
- Be able to work with little supervision
- Select and install appropriate cutting tools, tool holders, fixtures, and machine attachments
- Use precision measuring instruments
- Inspect completed parts for conformance to quality requirements
- Have strong blueprint reading skills. Basic knowledge of GD&T is helpful
- Have experience in short-run production
- Strong knowledge of machining principles, techniques, and practices
- Be able to hold close tolerances
- Have experience machining a variety of materials: tool steel, alloy steel, stainless steel
- Have strong math skills
- Load and unload machine with overhead crane
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment
