JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Under general supervision of the Director of Internal Audit, the Internal Audit Manager will supervise the Internal Audit staff’s performance while conducting on-site financial and operational audits for Tribal Government, Casino and Hotel properties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)

• Assist the Director of Internal Audit with annual audit planning efforts.
• Determine or assist in determining internal audit project scopes and timeframes. Ensure internal audits are resourced and completed properly.
• Determine or assist in determining the direction and thrust of the proposed audit effort.
• Determine or assist in determining the audit procedures to be used.
• Perform a review of the audit procedures, record of work, and audit reports.
• Review any submitted changes to the Casino Operations Standard Operating Procedures.
• Make, or assist in making, oral or written presentations to management during and at the conclusion of the examination, discussing deficiencies, recommending corrective action, and suggesting improvements in operations and reductions in cost.
• Prepare written summaries, as requested, expressing opinions on the adequacy and effectiveness of the system and the efficiency with which activities are carried out.
• Direct Supervision of department Internal Auditors including training, development and performance management.
• Oversee ACBCI Internal Auditors’ work performance providing necessary coaching and training as required.
• Must comply with all applicable ACBCI System of Internal Controls, Casino Operations Standard Operating Procedures and all Tribal Regulations.
