Specialist (Schools Sales Support)

The Specialist (Schools Sales Support) supports the efficient execution of the Sales process by qualifying and managing inbound leads, preparing proposals, processing contracts, and troubleshooting accounting challenges.

Responsibilities:

• Learn and demonstrate a fundamental understanding of OverDrive products and services, and clearly articulate our capabilities and advantages to prospective partners.
• Manage inbound leads, provided by Marketing or maintained in Salesforce, qualify the leads, leverage digital resources (website, tech news, industry sites, LinkedIn, etc.) to gain better understanding of the prospect or partner and update lead information in Salesforce.
• Manage sales administrative tasks, such as the shared sales inbox, phone line, and voicemail.
• Update contact information and perform data entry in Salesforce.
• Ensure a seamless transition of prospect/partner expectations and responsibilities to the Account Specialist, Account Manager, or Account Executive, based on defined criteria.
• Process contracts, order forms, purchase orders, and quotes, and facilitate the completion of renewals.
• Confirm and submit content returns.
• Answer or work with Accounting to answer partner questions and solve problems related to invoicing and payment.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred. 
• 1+ years’ related experience (sales, sales support, marketing, customer service, and inside sales). 
• Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite).
• Familiarity with CRM software and researching prospects
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal). 
• Well organized with a strong detail orientation. 
• Confident and energetic; professional and team-oriented sales approach.
