Job DetailsLevel: ManagementJob Location: 2201 N Field St Dallas TX 75201 - Dallas, TX 75201Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: 4 Year DegreeThe Campaign Director serves as a strategic and operational leader for the Museum’s capital campaign, ensuring alignment across strategy, execution, and communication. This role acts as the central point of coordination for all campaign activities, driving progress toward fundraising goals while maintaining adherence to timelines and priorities.
Working closely with senior leadership, board members, development staff, and volunteers, the Campaign Director oversees campaign operations, supports donor strategy, tracks performance, and equips fundraising teams with the tools and insights needed to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day campaign operations, advancing fundraising efforts while ensuring alignment with strategic priorities, timelines, and budget goals
Manage and monitor the donor pipeline, supporting effective prospect development and engagement strategies
Lead comprehensive donor stewardship efforts by developing and implementing engagement strategies that ensure timely, personalized communication, recognition, and long-term relationship building with campaign donors
Oversee the creation and delivery of stewardship materials, including impact reports, acknowledgment letters, and donor updates, to effectively communicate outcomes and sustain donor engagement
Track and manage donor engagement activities within CRM systems, ensuring accurate records of interactions, stewardship touchpoints, and follow-up actions
Coordinate donor recognition initiatives, events, and naming opportunities to enhance donor experience and reinforce philanthropic investment in the campaign
Develop high-quality campaign materials, including proposals, donor communications, briefing documents, presentations, and reports for senior leadership and the Board
Serve as a primary liaison among the CEO, Chief Development Officer, board members, development staff, and campaign volunteers
Partner with the Senior Director of Development and team members on donor strategy, meeting preparation, and stewardship planning
Collaborate with the Director of Development Operations to maintain campaign tracking systems, dashboards, and performance metrics
Coordinate logistics for campaign-related events, donor meetings, and volunteer engagement activities
Identify and resolve operational challenges, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to deadlines
Support campaign planning, feasibility studies, and post-campaign evaluation efforts
Perform other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities: NoQualificationsQualifications
Bachelor’s degree required
5+ years of experience managing campaigns or complex, cross-functional projects, preferably in the nonprofit or museum sector
Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to craft clear, persuasive communications for diverse audiences
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with senior leadership and coordinate cross-functional teams
Strong organizational, project management, and operational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience with donor tracking systems, CRM platforms, and campaign reporting tools
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Passion for museums and cultural organizations
