Job Description

Position Overview:

Plan, oversee and participate in the warehouse operations and activities; train and provide work direction to assigned personnel.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties: 

Plan, oversee and participate in the warehouse operations and activities; receive, process and issue warehouse stock; assure stock and warehouse facility is maintained in a safe, clean and orderly condition following GMP/AIB guidelines Train new Durham warehouse employees on MII and certify lift drivers. Be site representative for safety, quality and maintenance issues. Be point of contact for landlord, vendors, customer auditors and other visitors. Receive, identify, mark and place materials sent to the warehouse according to established procedures. Administrative functions:

• Operate computer to process reports, forms and maintain inventory of warehouse materials as required.
• Train and learn customer picks to call in freight and be backfill for scheduling customer orders.
• Cycle count to correct raw materials/ finished goods discrepancies per Accounting Policies.
• Understand how to reprint labels for production and shipping as needed.
• Maintain a variety of records, files and reports; maintain records of stock and place request for supplies as necessary.

Assist with providing necessary security within the warehouse. Communicate with personnel, departments, and others to provide and receive information, resolve questions and issues, and coordinate activities. Operate a variety of warehouse equipment; utilize a variety of hand tools as required; arrange for the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment as needed. Drive forklift and cover vacations, absences, and as needed. Train, provide work direction and coordinate the schedules and activities of assigned personnel; assist in training workers in computer operations and filling. Hold weekly communication meetings with date, duration, attendees and topics covered documented.  Open meetings up with and in this order:

• Safety
• Quality
• Work Instructions

Perform other duties as assigned. Maintain regular attendance and flexibility to work weekends and overtime.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. Certificate and five years increasingly responsible experience in a warehouse facility.

Experience: 3-5 years’ work experience in production and warehouse, Driver’s License and forklift license required.

Specific Knowledge: Computer proficient in Microsoft office (Excel/Word) and SAP
