What You Will Do:

Pratt & Whitney Columbus is at the core of military and commercial engine applications production with the manufacture of forgings for disks. The Quality Supervisor will manage a team of Ultrasonic Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) inspectors. You will be responsible for ensuring quality compliance within inspection operations and meeting customer expectations through on-time delivery while working to drive efficiency into the quality inspection processes.

This position is for Weekend Shift i.e. Alternate Work Week (AWW): Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6:30PM - 6:30 AM.

  • Ensure the safety of employees by driving a "safety-first" culture
  • Enable the inspection team by providing training and development; leading a team that is empowered to make decisions that meet safety, quality, delivery and cost objectives
  • Identify opportunities for documentation of quality requirements to establish and implement improvements
  • Investigate new and improved methods of inspection that can be used to improve efficiency and reduce cost
  • Promote transparency in quality operations performance and plans to address gaps in meeting daily business objectives
  • Collaborate with the quality engineering and manufacturing engineering teams in addressing quality concerns and continuous improvement opportunities; lead the working team to develop continuous improvement opportunities to improve efficiency and meet customer objectives

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years of experience in quality, engineering, or other technical field in a manufacturing environment; OR High School Diploma/GED equivalent with 6 years of relevant experience
  • Prior experience in a team leadership role
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience with SAP and Solumina
  • Continuous improvement/Lean process improvement experience
  • Experience in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) inspection
  • Experience in Engineering/Production Technician, Quality Engineering, CMM Quality, CNC Machining, or Quality Inspection
