Peraton is seeking a motivated and experienced SAFe Product Owner to join our team and help shape solutions for some of the U.S. Government’s most critical missions. By leveraging the latest advancements in cloud computing and AI/ML technologies, you will lead the way in prioritizing and delivering high-impact solutions in a fast-paced, Agile environment.

What You’ll Do

As a Product Owner, you will:

• Collaborate closely with developers, enterprise product managers, and scrum masters to ensure stakeholder needs are accurately captured, prioritized, and executed.
• Act as a key leadership team member, driving work that directly impacts mission success.
• Apply SAFe and Agile principles to guide the team in delivering iterative, value-driven solutions.
• Write user stories and oversee the development process from initial scoping to user story acceptance.
• Effectively mediate conflicts, facilitate team discussions, and coach teams toward continuous improvement.
• Navigate ambiguity and adapt to shifting priorities, ensuring clarity in requirements, technology options, and project direction.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Education & Experience: BA/BS degree and at least 9 years of relevant experience. An additional 4 years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
• Clearance Level: Active TS/SCI
• Core Competencies:
  • Deep understanding of SAFe principles with proven leadership skills.
  • Strong grasp of Agile methodologies and the ability to apply them pragmatically.
  • Demonstrated experience writing and managing user stories through development and acceptance.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and coaching skills.
  • Ability to juggle multiple assignments while maintaining attention to detail and fostering partnerships.
  • Skilled in resolving conflicts and aligning teams toward shared goals.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments, balancing competing priorities.

Desired Qualifications:

• SAFe certifications such as POPM, SAFe for Teams, or Agile Product Manager.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms and technologies.
• Background in intelligence analysis or operations.
• Familiarity with AI/ML technologies and their applications.
• Program/project management experience, especially in government contracts.
• Experience with GitLab and understanding of IC workflows and processes.

Target Salary Range

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
