Patient Service Representative (Medical Receptionist)

Are you an experienced healthcare professional? Our 5-Star Dermatology Clinic in Pearland, TX is looking a healthcare hospitality professional to join the team. Candidates must have EXCELLENT customer service skills, a professional presentation, and a readiness to work for a busy clinic. Candidates with a working knowledge of insurance or medical reception experience will be considered with priority.

We offer an 8:00-5:00 Monday through Friday schedule, a competitive salary, paid time off per year, 401k with match, and company subsidized health insurance benefits.

Great customer service is a must! Medical experience is not required, but is a plus. We can teach you what we do.

This role:

• Welcomes and greets all patients and visitors with the highest level of customer service.
• Reply to patient questions (in person and other) promptly.
• Accurately collects and verifies patient demographic and insurance information.
• Accurately document all transactions and important information via Nextech.
• Collect payment(s) appropriately and accurately.
• Assist patients with registration.
• Follow standard check-in and check-out policies.
• Monitor wait time and communicate with patients as necessary.
• Keep waiting room and the front desk neat and tidy.
• Schedule appointments (follow-ups or other) according to practice guidelines.
• Understand and follow all applicable rules and regulations. (Internal policies and procedures, HIPAA, PCI compliance, etc…)
• Maintain a working knowledge of available products and services provided by Advanced Dermatology.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• High School diploma or equivalent education (examples include: GED, verification of home school equivalency, partial or full completion of post-secondary education, etc.)

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• 5 years of customer service or medical office experience required
