Job Overview
Experian’s internship program offers the opportunity to learn about Experian’s business and the core aspects of our HR function and Internal Communications principles through project work. As a member of the Decision Analytics HR team, you will contribute to the North America Decision Analytics business unit success by partnering with your mentors to build out and implement communications programs across DA and the larger company. It will be important to develop partnerships in marketing to assist with digital media content for external channels. We are looking for someone who likes to be creative, is detail-oriented, and can work both independently and in a teamwork.
What you’ll be doing
- Internal Communications Planning and Execution
- Assist with engaging, informing, and directing employees about the business strategy and priorities
- Design and draft employee newsletters and communications
- Direction will be set along the way, but this individual should be able to come up with creative ideas, suggestions, and recommendations on how to have the biggest impact
- Assist with managing distribution lists and channel membership
- Provide regular reports on our internal audience and adjust approach in order to be most effective
- Produce high-quality written and visual content (newsletters, email/portal banners, infographics, video messages, live events, etc.)
- Partner with various teams to provide timely updates on milestones
- “Comms Stack” Technology
- Design, update, and maintain the intranet site on SharePoint
- Assist with updating the internal communications content calendar on Microsoft 365 platforms
- Assist with managing and measuring employee engagement and enablement on technological tool, such as Slack, Microsoft Teams, and FirstUp
- Culture
- Assist with the new joiner experience for the business unit
- Assist with rolling out culture events/campaigns
- Be an engaged member in various Experian communities of practice – Agile, Internal Communications, Creative Collective, Writers
- Support corporate social responsibility programs and employee resource groups
Hours & Duration
- Part-time (25-35 hours per week)
- Duration: 6 months with potential extension
- Hiring as early as August 21, 2023
Qualifications
What your background looks like
- Current Junior/Senior undergraduate level, or graduate student
- Pursuing a degree in Visual Arts, Marketing, English, Communications, Management, or similar
- Must be able to work in Pacific and Central time zones
- Desired Characteristics:
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, ability to learn concepts quickly, detail-oriented
- Excellent organizational, project management, and time management skills
- Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach to relationship management
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, design layout skills
- Confident communicator and confident in working with all levels of man
