Job Details:
Duties and Responsibilities Include but are Not Limited to:
-80C freezer preventative maintenance
Flushing eye wash stations
Washing and autoclaving dishes
Monitoring and replacing desiccant
Submitting biological and chemical waste, sharps, and broken glass for proper disposal
Maintaining written and electronic records
Maintaining inventory lists
Restocking consumables
This is not a research position
Required Qualifications
Must have an active Work-Study award as part of your financial aid package
Eligibility is limited to currently enrolled undergraduate students at the University of Texas at Austin with a valid Work Study award
Proficiency in operating standard office equipment
Working knowledge of MS Office applications
Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Capable of working independently with minimal supervision
Able to follow detailed instructions accurately and consistently
Preferred Qualifications
Six months experience supporting a research laboratory
Salary Range
$15.00 per hour
Working Conditions
May work around standard office conditions
Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation
May work around chemicals
Use of manual dexterity
