Substitute Custodian/Grounds 2026-2027 School Year

Floodwood School is looking for substitute custodians.
 
Work day: As needed on a substitute basis

Salary: $16.63 per hour

 

QUALIFICATIONS: To maintain the appearance, safety, and healthy environment of the school facilities through cleaning, maintaining, and improving the facilities as needed and directed.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Perform cleaning and maintenance duties as assigned to the person in this position to the standards prescribed by the district and that are acceptable for a public building.
2. Operate power cleaning equipment in a safe manner.
3. Perform periodic cleaning and preparation of floors and other surfaces, such as walls, windows, etc.
4. Remove all refuse from classrooms, offices and other occupied areas of the facilities.
5. Maintain building security as required by activity calendar and defined by district insurance requirements.
6. Assist in performing routine checks of equipment and apparatus in the buildings, such as emergency doors, fire alarm systems, etc
7. Assist in loading and unloading of materials and deliveries.
8. Report needs of necessary equipment, supplies and materials to the Maintenance Supervisor.
9. Perform other duties that are usual and customary for persons assigned to employees in this job classification.
