Experienced Product Owner - Search Machine Learning (m/f/d)

Your Tasks

• Development and implementation of solutions in data engineering, analytics, and machine learning to enhance the relevance of search algorithms for customers using category pages, brand pages, or full-text search functions across MediaMarktSaturn Group’s digital platforms
• Collaboration with data scientists, engineers, and analysts for the design and deployment of machine learning-based solutions, including hybrid search models, natural language processing, recommendation systems, anomaly detection, and other advanced techniques
• Focus on data preparation, optimization of search relevance, KPI tracking, and analytics to support efficient and customer-oriented search experiences
• Ownership and management of the product roadmap and backlog for machine learning-driven search relevance, in alignment with business and enterprise strategy
• Partnership with product owners, search managers, analysts, and stakeholders from various countries to gather business requirements and translate them into actionable improvements in search technologies
• Translation of corporate strategy into tangible tasks within the search environment, connecting business units leveraging the search engine with the DevOps team responsible for product development

Your Profile

• Completed university degree in informatics, business informatics, computer science, physics, mathematics, or a related field
• Proven understanding of machine learning algorithms and/or processes related to model development and a motivation to expand this knowledge further
• Ability to quickly comprehend new tasks and highly complex subjects, combined with strong business acumen in an interdependent environment
• Reliable and motivated approach, with strong communication skills and commitment to collaborative teamwork
• Flexibility for both remote work and presence at office locations in Munich or Ingolstadt
• Fluency in English, German is a plus
• Knowledge of ML frameworks, SQL, and/or Python
