Job Summary

This position provides assistance to the Department Coordinator, Associate Director, and Department Chair with office functions. Under the direct supervision of the Department Coordinator, it offers clerical support for the Department of Educational Leadership, with an emphasis on serving students and faculty by answering phones, responding to emails, and assisting office visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support for travel authorizations and claim forms, purchase orders, ordering textbooks, and overall office purchasing. Assist with the collection of faculty information to include office hours and syllabi.
  • Provide program and faculty support by processing work order requests, ordering and monitoring office supplies and scheduling meetings, making room and parking reservations. Support event and programmatic communication (e.g. Social media}, set up and clean-up.
  • Perform general office operational duties to include answering phones, typing, filing, and entering information into pertinent documents. Assist with training and supervision of student assistants. Assist all office visitors, students, staff, and faculty with inquiries.

Compensation

Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources.

  • Hiring Range: The hiring range for this position is $3,565 (Step #1) - $3,709 (Step #3) per month commensurate with candidate's education, experience, skills, and training.
  • CSU Classification Salary Range: The CSU Classification Salary Range for this position is $3,565(Step #1) - $5,092 (Step #19) per month.
