Description
The University of Chicago’s Department of Surgery, Section of Vascular Surgery and Endovascular Therapy, is seeking full-time Clinical Associates at 100% effort for renewable terms of up to two years. These positions will be based primarily in community offsites such as Methodist and Northwest Indiana (NWI) and may require activity at other affiliate locations. Clinical responsibilities will include a comprehensive vascular surgery clinical practice. These positions do not require teaching or scholarly activity. Compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) is dependent upon qualifications.
The University of Chicago Heart & Vascular Center has nationally recognized research and education programs that build on collaborations throughout the University and is active in clinical operations and quality improvement in the Medical Center.
Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) be board-certified or board-eligible by the American Board of Surgery or the foreign equivalent, and 4) have completed a fellowship in Vascular Surgery.
We especially welcome applicants with expertise in endovascular therapy. Additionally, we welcome applicants from fellowship-trained vascular surgeons with a strong interest and expected career trajectory in vascular surgery and community-based practice.
