Psych Mental Hlth NP (Inova Fairfax Medical - Adult Inpatient)

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our team at Inova Health Fairfax, specifically focusing on the inpatient adult population. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychiatric care, possess excellent clinical skills, and be committed to delivering high-quality mental health services.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and evaluations of inpatient adults.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications as appropriate.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding mental health issues and treatment options.
• Participate in treatment team meetings and contribute to the overall clinical care of patients.

Qualifications:

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing.
• Current and unrestricted PMHNP license in the state of Virginia.
• Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
• Experience working with inpatient adult populations preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
