Job Description:
Western Slope Health Care Center is looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Cook to join our team. This full-time position is ideal for an individual with a positive attitude and a passion for preparing delicious, nutritious meals for our residents. As a Cook, you will play a key role in creating enjoyable dining experiences, ensuring meals meet dietary needs and are served with care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook meals according to established menus and dietary requirements.
• Ensure food is prepared and served in a timely manner while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
• Assist with menu planning, food ordering, and inventory management.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and dining areas.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe dining environment.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and healthcare teams to meet the dietary needs of our residents.
• Adapt meals to special dietary needs, including low-sodium, gluten-free, and other restrictions.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a cook, preferably in a healthcare or institutional setting.
• Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and nutrition.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Positive attitude and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and take direction.
