Summary

This position will be a trusted partner to the COO, will be a leader in the Executive Office, and will actively engage with Weisiger Group’s Senior Leadership Team. The individual will be responsible for ensuring the execution of special COO-initiated projects while also maintaining a curiosity for “improve always” across the Company and within the C-suite. The individual will help lead projects and initiatives with broad scope and high impact to the organization. The role will engage in key assignments with both long and short-term business implications, may lead or participate in cross-functional teams, and contribute to the overall strategic priorities. The position reports directly to the COO with consistent exposure and engagement with Weisiger Group Director, VP and SVP levels.

Essential Functions

Weisiger Group Strategic Planning

  • Facilitate and champions the strategic planning process with the Senior Leadership Team in support of business and support function 3-year strategic plans.
  • Engage with senior leaders as a thought partner to create and drive division- and function-specific strategies.
  • Facilitate executive team alignment and ensure focus is maintained on agreed-upon goals.
  • Continuously re-assess strategic priorities to ensure plans are achievable and impactful amidst changing business conditions.
  • Work directly with the Enterprise Project Management Office (ePMO) and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to ensure project-level executive summaries (budget, timeline, high level comments on status) are presented to decision-makers on a pre-determined cadence.

Chief of Staff to the COO

  • Coordinate, document, and participate in Senior Leadership Team meetings.
  • Engage in root cause analysis—often without prompting from the COO or others—on major issues and opportunities impacting Weisiger Group’s executive agenda.
  • Solve critical business problems through a structured approach (i.e., confirm hypotheses through engagement with relevant parties, develop approaches to address the problem or opportunity, succinctly update the COO on issues, supported with facts and recommendations, and operate within a matrixed organization to execute).
  • Proactively identify potential special projects that might facilitate the COO’s/leadership’s objectives.
  • Scope, plan and execute multiple, sometimes quick-turnaround special projects with minimal outside assistance (potentially including M&A and/or business development).
  • Work with appropriate stakeholders, including outside parties, to undertake research / analysis and present findings to COO, executive staff, or Board of Advisors, as appropriate.
