Warehouseman

Overview

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouseman to join our team. The Warehouseman will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including receiving and storing inventory, picking and packing orders, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

Receiving and Storing Inventory:

• Unload incoming shipments from trucks or other delivery vehicles.
• Inspect incoming goods for damage or discrepancies.
• Verify quantities and quality against purchase orders or invoices.
• Store inventory in designated locations using appropriate storage methods.

Picking and Packing Orders:

• Accurately pick products from inventory according to customer orders.
• Pack orders securely and efficiently, ensuring proper labeling and packaging.Prepare orders for shipment, including creating shipping labels and manifests.

Deliveries:

• Able to drive company truck to deliver materials to job sites.

Inventory Management:

• Conduct regular inventory counts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
• Assist in cycle counts and physical inventory.
• Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system.

Warehouse Maintenance:

• Keep the warehouse clean and organized, including sweeping, mopping, and removing debris.
• Maintain warehouse equipment and report any maintenance issues.
• Adhere to safety regulations and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous warehouse experience preferred but not necessary as long as ability to learn and good work ethic.
• Ability to lift heavy objects.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Forklift certification preferred.
