What will you do?
For this role you will be recruiting committed donors for International Rescue Committee (IRC). International Rescue Committee (IRC) responds to the world's worst humanitarian crises, including the conflict in Ukraine and the crisis in Afghanistan. IRC focuses support in five areas: ensuring safety from harm, improving health, increasing access to education, improving economic wellbeing, and ensuring people have the power to influence decisions that affect their lives. In all IRC programming, they address the unique needs of women and girls (who represent the majority of those displaced)—and the barriers to progress everywhere we work.

Position Title: Canvasser Fundraiser

Reporting Structure: Office Director

Rate of Pay: $23/hr plus production-based bonuses

Job Classification: Full time, non-exempt
Schedule: Full-time 37.5 hours per week

Location: New York City Metro Area - Manhattan & Brooklyn

Attendance: 100% attendance record is required for all roles within Pathway Strategy Group

F2F Recruitment of Committed Donors:

• Attend public and private spaces/sites, which may be indoors or outdoors, to actively engage with members of the public and recruit new committed donors for non-profit organizations.

• Consistently exceed the committed donor recruitment targets set by the Office Director, typically a minimum of seven new committed donors per week within agreed quality metrics.

• Represent Pathway Strategy Group, its clients, and yourself in a professional and informed manner at all times.

• Maintain a regulated, calm, and upbeat emotional state and retain a positive mindset to ensure potential donors are engaged with enthusiasm at all times.

• Ensure all paper and electronic records are completed accurately.

• Maintain punctual attendance to training events and meetings as required.

Essential Qualifications and Attributes

• The role includes carrying equipment, walking to and from sites, and standing for long periods of time. You will be expected to work outside and be exposed to New York weather.

• Professional-level competence in written and spoken English.

• Provide your own reliable means of transportation to work sites with all necessary equipment.

• Be available to work unsocial hours, including evenings, and weekends.
