We’re looking for an experienced and highly organized Production Director to lead the delivery of high-profile, large-scale events (8,000–12,000 attendees). This is a senior, client-facing role for someone who thrives on leading multidisciplinary teams, managing complex logistics, and creating standout live experiences that exceed expectations. We’re looking for an experienced and highly organized Production Director to lead the delivery of high-profile, large-scale events (8,000–12,000 attendees). This is a senior, client-facing role for someone who thrives on leading multidisciplinary teams, managing complex logistics, and creating standout live experiences that exceed expectations. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the strategic planning, development, and delivery of large-scale live events
- Collaborating with Account Directors to understand and deliver client objectives
- Acting as the primary day-to-day contact for clients, building trusted relationships
- Leading multidisciplinary teams across logistics, production, technical, exhibition, and creative
- Overseeing all project documentation including project trackers, timelines, and client handbooks
- Managing project teams of 50+ people and coordinating vendor partners globally
- Creating and managing detailed event budgets up to $15 million with monthly forecasting
- Driving exceptional onsite execution and quickly resolving issues in real time
- Analyzing post-event feedback and data to continuously improve delivery
- Coaching, mentoring, and developing junior team members
- Supporting the recruitment and onboarding of new full-time hires and freelancers
You’ll need:
- 5+ years’ experience delivering high-impact, large-scale events in a senior role
- Proven track record managing multimillion-dollar budgets ($10M–$15M)
- Deep understanding of event production, creative build, and technical delivery
- Strong leadership and team management skills across internal and external resources
- Exceptional client service skills and ability to build long-term relationships
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and contingency plans
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills under pressure
- Advanced Excel and strong PowerPoint skills
- Business acumen and commercial awareness
