This strategic leadership role will oversee the delivery, performance, and continuous improvement of infrastructure services, ensuring alignment with McKesson’s business objectives and customer needs. The Sr. Director will manage the MSP relationship, lead a team of service managers, technical staff, and financial operations, and drive service excellence across all technology towers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service Leadership & Delivery
    • Lead the delivery of edge compute, LAN, WAN, and end user compute services in an as-a-service model.
    • Oversee all technology towers, ensuring operational excellence and alignment with business goals.
    • Manage and develop a high-performing team of service managers, technical staff, and financial analysts.
  • MSP Relationship Management
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for the new MSP, managing service performance, escalations, and strategic partnership.
    • Ensure contractual obligations and service level agreements (SLAs) are met or exceeded.
  • Customer Satisfaction & Engagement
    • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive engagement, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.
    • Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, translating business needs into infrastructure solutions.
  • Financial Management
    • Own the financial performance of the infrastructure service, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization.
    • Provide accurate per-customer cost information for allocation and reporting purposes.
    • Oversee service performance and cost reporting by customer.
  • Service Performance & Improvement
    • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure service effectiveness and drive ongoing improvement.
    • Lead service improvement initiatives, leveraging data-driven insights and industry best practices.
    • Ensure compliance with governance frameworks, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Strategic Planning & Analytical Skills
    • Drive the strategic roadmap for infrastructure services, ensuring alignment with McKesson’s long-term objectives.
    • Apply strong analytical skills to assess service performance, identify opportunities, and implement solutions.
  • Collaboration & Communication
    • Collaborate with IT, operations, security, and other key departments to integrate infrastructure services with overall business strategies.
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, fostering a culture of transparency and accountability.

Minimum Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent experience. Typically requires 13+ years of professional experience and 6+ years of diversified leadership, planning, communication, organization, and people motivation skills (or equivalent ex

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience); advanced degree or professional certifications in IT service management or related areas preferred.

Critical Skills

  • Proven experience in infrastructure service management, MSP relationship management, and process improvement within a large-scale enterprise environment.
  • Deep understanding of technology infrastructure, including edge compute, LAN, WAN, end user compute, and as-a-service delivery models.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets, cost allocations, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent customer interaction, collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Experience delivering results in a matrixed organization.
  • Knowledge of governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
  • Innovative thinker committed to leveraging technology for organizational efficiency.
  • Strong leadership and strategic planning skills, with the ability to drive cross-functional initiatives and manage complex projects.
