Senior Backend Engineer (Remote)

We are looking for a senior engineer to support the needs of our back-end, distributed systems. We use Node.JS/TypeScript on the backend and are looking for someone open to doing things across the whole stack. As our lead Node.js/TypeScript engineer, you will be responsible for driving The League App forward in quality, features, and scalability. As an experienced engineer, you will set the quality bar and be relied upon to deliver an app experience in a league of its own.
This is a remote position. We will consider candidates across the US.

How you'll make an impact:

• Develop and maintain the Node.js/TypeScript backend for our iOS/Android app and React internal tools.
• Build new features, bug fixes, and suggest projects that will improve product and infrastructure.
• Make technical and product decisions based on the roadmap.
• Interview and mentor incoming engineers.
• Code review PRs to ensure engineers are following best practices.

We could be a match if:

• You have at least four years of experience in software/computer engineering with 3+ years experience in Node.js/TypeScript.
• You are experienced in collaborating with other engineers to create apps with significant design and back-end engineering aspects.
• You have experience with AWS, basic devops, and scaling infrastructure to support increases in user base.
• You are experienced in SQL
