Job Summary:
Candidate will be responsible for delivering IT programs to schedule, budget and quality. He/She would be responsible for pre-sales & pursuit support and win new accounts or new programs in existing accounts.The role requires mastery technical knowledge of project and Program management inter-related process stages i.e. initiate, plan, execute, monitor and control and close, and the supporting processes e.g. scope, cost, time, issue, risk, resource, communication, stakeholder management. Proficiency in related processes such as portfolio management, program management, methods and tools and quality assurance is also required. Candidate must have excellent stakeholder relationship management skills to successfully lead and manage the team and stakeholders, and have expertise recognized and requested by customers.
Experience in Architecting and leading Data Strategy, Data platform build out, Enterprise wider Data & Analytics solutions across on-premise and cloud (AWS). Should have experience in working for Nike and have strong CPR sector background
Essential Functions of the Job:
- Successfully execute the program to agreed schedule, budget and scope
- Perform the relevant project management processes - i.e. initiate, plan, execute, monitor and control and close, and the supporting processes e.g. scope, cost, time, issue, risk, resource, communication, stakeholder management
- Manage program work and resources to enable successful and timely completion of the project
- Delivery of program aligned to overall business and technology strategies and architectures
- Work within defined governance processes
- Lead the development of the program charter and scope, and ensure delivery of the solution to schedule, budget and scope
- Develop objectives, phasing and content of the project to deliver on the business case benefits, budget and timescales
- Manage to the objectives and plan by thorough risk, issue and change management across both business and IT parts of the program
- Experience in Architecting and leading Data Strategy, Data platform build out, Enterprise wider Data & Analytics solutions across on-premise and cloud (AWS). Should have experience in working for Nike and have strong CPR sector background
- Currently working with any of the top tier SI player, with experience working in Nike IDC (Bangalore)
Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:
- Monitors and manages program baseline to ensure activities are occurring as planned - scope, budget and schedule – manages variances
- Proactively identify risks and issues on program - leading team to develop risk management and issues management plans
- Identifies potential points of contention for missed deliverables; creates and implements strategy to mitigate shortfalls in timeline and budget
- Anticipates problems before they occur; defines the problem or risk; identifies possible causes; works with team to identify solutions; selects and implements most appropriate solution
- Analytical skills and problem solving skills needed to manage multiple factors on a program simultaneously
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
- Experience of managing IT projects/programs with personal accountability for delivering to time and cost for large, complex projects typically up to $2m - $15m in value and 12 to 18 months in duration
- Experience of managing teams of 40+ FTE’s
- Experience in handling data warehousing, data migration and BI projects in insurance domain.
- Mastery in program and project management methodologies, tools and templates (includes project planning, schedule development, scope management and cost management
- Extensive experience of delivery that includes the use of supplier and off-shore resources
- Experienced in managing to contract; ensuring clients and suppliers alike perform in accordance with original agreement
- IT background with experience across the systems development life cycle with experience in all project phases – plan, initiate, elaborate, design, build, test, implement.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills (includes negotiation)
- Retail/CPG background is mandatory
Supervision Responsibilities:
- Direct supervision provided by an experienced program manager or sub-lead; frequency on a weekly or as needed basis
