Human Resources Specialist – Summary
The HR Specialist supports the HR Assistant Manager in executing a wide range of Human Resource and Administrative functions to help meet departmental goals. Key responsibilities include conducting new hire orientations, assisting with recruitment and benefit enrollment, maintaining compliance with employment laws, supporting employee relations and retention efforts, and coordinating employee engagement initiatives. The role also involves coaching managers on performance issues, managing employee records, and ensuring adherence to HR policies and procedures.
Key Duties & Responsibilities

Conduct and assist with new hire orientation and benefit enrollment

Support recruiting, hiring, and internal transfer activities

Administer service awards, recognition programs, and annual compliance training

Maintain personnel files and employee records (ADP system)

Ensure FMLA, LOA, STD tracking and regulatory compliance

Assist with investigations, corrective action coaching, and employee relations

Plan company events and drive employee engagement

Monitor and help manage manpower budgets and temporary staffing needs
Required Qualifications

3–5 years HR experience; Bachelor's in HR or related field preferred

Strong working knowledge of HR laws and best practices

Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)

Strong written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize, and maintain confidentiality

Positive attitude, team-oriented, with leadership and coaching abilities
Qualifications
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- 3-5 years of human resource experience
- B.S. in Human Resources or related field
- STRONG proficiency in MS Excel, Outlook, Word
- Complete knowledge of state and federal employment laws.
- Capable of educating and training Members in Company policies, procedures, and practices
- Comprehension skills necessary to interpret HR laws, regulations, policies, and procedures
- Ability to adapt to changing situations, to solve problems, and prioritize workloads.
- Broad understanding of all aspects of Human Resources
