<div>Evergreen is an equal-opportunity employer.  We consider applicants for all positions without regard to race, color, religion, creed, gender, national origin, age, disability, marital status, or any other legally protected status<br><br><br>Position Description: Home Director I  <br>FLSA Classification: Exempt<br>State: Louisiana<br>Reports To: Program Supervisor<br>Created: October 1, 2021<br>Updated: Aug 5, 2022<br><br>Job Summary<br>Responsible for all the operations of the community home under the general direction of the Program Supervisor.<br><br>Essential Job Functions<br><br>Directs the entire operations and programming of a six (6) bed community home<br>Oversees the work performance of all direct care staff<br>Develop staff schedule and publish <br>Collect, assimilate, approve, and submit all appropriate documentation for payroll processing<br>Complete annual performance evaluation<br>Ensure that all policies, rules, and regulations are followed and establish resolutions including administration of discipline, corrections, and reinforcements as required<br>Conduct staff meetings and provide training when necessary<br>Responsible for the health and welfare of the individual(s) served <br>Schedule all medical appointments<br>Advocate individual(s) served rights when appropriate<br>Schedule individual(s) served activities<br>Ensure fire and evacuation procedures are up to date and train accordingly<br>Enhance the quality of life for the individual(s) served <br>Participate in the selection, placement, and training of new staff<br>Manages all care and maintenance of buildings and grounds for the community home<br>Schedule and ensure vehicle maintenance is completed<br>Responsible for the overall financial success of community home(s)<br>Maintain finances within the assigned budget<br>Manage assigned petty cash<br>Process all invoices and submit them to home office promptly and on time<br>Keep overtime to a minimum<br>Ensure all house inventories (food, supplies, clothing) are complete and proper amounts are available as needed<br>Ensure all efforts are made to maintain responsible utility, repair, and transportation expenses<br>Ensure compliance with standards for the annual survey<br>Prepare and submit all required documents in a timely manner (i.e., program notes, invoices/bills, state-required documents, payroll, individual(s) served financial information)<br>Oversee individual(s) served finances and ensure all policies and procedures are followed in the administration of such<br>Maintain a relationship with the family of each individual(s) served and work to ensure the best outcome <br>Serve as a role model for both individual(s) served and staff<br>Follow and enforce all policies and procedures of Evergreen<br>All other duties as assigned<br><br>Qualifications/Experience/Job Knowledge<br>Education: High school diploma or GED; college degree preferred<br>CMA certification within two (2) years of being in the Home Director position<br>Three (3) years of direct support experience and some supervisory experience preferred<br>Ability to communicate well both in written and oral forms<br>Good organizational skills with an eye for detail<br>Ability to meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment<br>Must be adaptable and have good decision-making skills<br>Working knowledge of basic computer applications, with the aptitude to learn additional software and programs<br> <br> Physical Requirements<br>Constantly moves about to coordinate work<br>Routinely works in a fast-paced environment with multiple task deadlines<br>Regularly moves and positions objects weighing up to 50 pounds <br>Occasionally exposed to viruses and infectious conditions<br>Constantly alert and observant during working hours<br><br>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities or medical conditions to perform the essential functions.<br><br>Supervisory Responsibilities:<br>Will supervise a minimum of six (6) employees<br>Special Requirements<br>May be required to attend seminars or job-related training courses.<br>Must have understanding, patience, and tact in dealing with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.<br>Must have the ability to maintain good working relationships with Evergreen staff and with contacts from other agencies or entities.<br>Must be able to prioritize work tasks.<br><br>Employment Variables <br><br>Must have a good driving record that meets the minimum requirements for Ever
