About the Role

You are a seasoned social strategy director with a strong understanding of how brands operate and grow in the modern world. You have experience working on major brands across multiple categories and verticals. You are comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced, work environment. You can adapt to a changing brief and drive clarity with integrated teams. You constantly try to explore what’s next in the world of brand building. You can pitch bold new ideas and frameworks to global CMOs. You know how to build teams from the ground up and drive integration to lead to excellent outputs. You know who won the last Film Grand Prix at Cannes and who’s best on TikTok. You understand how paid, owned and earned work together and bring that to life with strategists, creatives and data analysts into cohesive plans.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead a squad of strategists within an integrated, multi-agency team to build cohesive, end- to-end strategies for a large, technology client

  • Serve as the senior thought leader on social, with a specific view on how organic, paid and partnerships work together to drive business goals and engage consumers on social

  • Partner with junior social strategists and media counterparts to ideate large-scale social plans and programs across multiple verticals and products

  • Balance a strategy and creative mindset to not only bring ideas related to platform, content type and best practice but also the creative idea that will populate them

  • Manage and grow senior team members of social strategy team

  • Be a trusted client strategy partner to senior clients

  • Build strong relationship with creative leaders and creative community

  • Become strong contributor in a global thought-leadership network

What You’ll Need

  • 8-15 years of experience at large agencies

  • Proven experience in social media strategy on big name brands

  • Proven successful collaboration with creative leaders and complex creative teams

  • Deep understanding of paid and organic social media and how they work together

  • Strong client management skills, ability to present to and manage senior clients

  • Management of teams of strategists and cross-disciplinary teams

  • Effective written and verbal communications skills. Ability to write and deliver persuasive presentations is critical

  • Strong analytical skills. Ability to interpret ongoing research and media reports, guide and partner with social media experts to inform communications recommendations

  • Technology sector experience a plus
