Your Role at Baxter
Join Baxter in our mission to save and sustain lives by developing high quality medical devices for hospital and home use. As a Senior Engineer on our team, you will be working collaboratively to come up with solutions to complex problems within our product portfolio.

What You'll be Doing

  • Contribute to the development of creative solutions to challenging problems associated with the design of our Nutrition, Pharmacy Tools, and Elastomeric Infusion Device product portfolio. 
  • Support and drive updates and creation, as applicable, of Design History File elements such as Design Requirements, Product Specifications, Verification and Validation (running studies and collaborating with lab technicians, writing/issuing reports, analyzing data), and Risk Management File.
  • Collaborate in a cross-functional work environment including other engineering functions, regulatory, clinical, quality, manufacturing, and marketing team members.
  • Strong technical curiosity and capabilities for product development and on-market product support, along with a passion for their work and the impact it has on saving and sustaining the lives of patients.
  • Ongoing support for on-market product to support changes and maintenance activities such as changes from suppliers (e.g., material change), labeling changes, or regulatory compliance elements to ensure supply chain continuity and that our patients are able to continue to receive their therapies.

What You'll Bring

  • B.S.in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Chemical, Bio/Biomedical, Material Science).
  • 3 years related experience (in-house, co-op or acquired outside).
  • Experience with design controls in the healthcare industry a plus.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has a base salary range of $88,000 to $121,000 plus an annual incentive bonus. The above range represents the expected base salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
