AHEAD is seeking a self-motivated, organized, analytical and scalability-focused Senior Director of Compensation and People Analytics to join our growing People & Culture team. The Senior Director of Compensation and People Analytics works in the People and Culture (P&C) Organization focusing on the analysis of employee salaries and benefits to ensure both are fair while driving compensation as a priority for the business. This role is responsible for setting up a comprehensive compensation function. Creating and managing items like job architecture, leveling, grading, compensation plans, merit reviews, education of workforce, and other items as needed. Role will research job requirements and evaluate job positions to ensure the company is paying equitably and is still competitive in the areas of salaries and variable compensation. This role will also be responsible for designing and collaborating with the business and other functional groups to ensure we have good people data to make sound decisions. The people analytics component will become more important later this year. The Senior Director of Compensation and People Analytics Compensation works in a flexible hybrid office setting and reports directly to the Chief People Officer and is part of the senior leadership team in P&C. Individuals with a background working with development and design of compensation plans, bonus programs, and commission plan design will thrive in this role as they are given flexibility to create new processes and explore new methods for continuous improvement of currently processes and procedures; as well as lead implementation of any new systems that maximize efficiency gains as AHEAD continues to soar in growth. Responsibilities
- Lead compensation projects which impact salary and bonus updates as well as bonus and commission plan design
- Responsible for administering plan designs to help facilitate commission and bonus plan calculations on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
- Continually monitor pay equity amongst roles ensuring we are striving to be fair and equitable in our pay practices and policies
- Develop compensation planning, process, and guidelines for adoption throughout organization
- Provide education of both HRBPs and Business Stakeholders regarding compensation practices and strategy
- Continually evaluate compensation system and compensation process and enhance our processes and systems to ensure scalability for growth
- Assesses jobs and their respective duties to determine classification as exempt or nonexempt and appropriate salary range
- Audit job description compliance and work with the recruiting and HRBP team to ensure any new job descriptions are created and maintained in real time
- Develop audit procedures to ensure job descriptions are continually reviewed by management teams
- Benchmarks jobs against survey data and other market intelligence to determine competitive compensation ranges for each position
- Prepares and maintains job classifications and salary scales
- Prepares and presents summary reports of job analysis and compensation analysis information
- Participates in annual compensation surveys, ensuring to create a scalable process to maintain this as AHEAD continues to grow
- Gathers data from market-based compensation surveys; uses spreadsheet and data analysis techniques to assess results and market trends
- Evaluates and implements job analysis instruments and materials
- Prepares and maintains job classifications and salary scales
- Design, run, and distribute compensation report
