Department Overview

The Enterprise Health & Safety (EH&S) team fosters a safety-centric culture to prevent serious injuries or fatalities when performing work. EH&S works with all functional areas to develop company-wide projects, programs, policies and procedures and provide subject matter expertise on a variety of safety and health disciplines and ensures regulatory compliance.

 

Position Summary

Utilizing project management tools and methodologies, leads the development and implementation of non-technical business projects or administrative projects from inception to closeout, managing the scope, schedule and cost. The complexity, budget (where applicable), range of internal and external parties involved, and risk to the company (i.e., financial, public reputation, safety) increase as you move across the progression. In this role, projects have a distinct beginning and end. There are typically no direct reports; rather people and other resources are indirectly managed as part of a project team. Multiple projects are managed concurrently with diverse, cross-functional teams.

 

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office, and your assigned location based on business need. Headquarter location is flexible within PG&E service territory.

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.  Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​

A reasonable salary range is:​

 

 

Bay Area Minimum: $102,000.00

Bay Area Maximum: $152,000.00

OR

California Minimum: $97,000.00

California Maximum:$144,000.00

 

Responsibilities

Define project scope and objectives; establish project team with agreed upon roles and responsibilities; obtain commitment on detailed work plans including schedule, cost, resources, contingency and communication plans; obtain management approval as needed; ensure project documentation is maintained; identify, analyze, and address project performance issues; manage the integration of vendor tasks and track and review vendor deliverables; communicate project status to all stakeholders; assess project risk and develop contingency plans; and identify and communicate lessons learned and best practices

 

  • Lead moderately complex projects with a medium to high corporate or functional priority.
  • Apply and adapt project management techniques and perform root cause analysis.
  • Ability to manage, direct, and lead a project team (incl. project sponsor).
  • Establish and maintain a positive work environment that encourages the accomplishment of all project goals utilizing personal dynamics to drive projects forward through completion.
  • Conduct project kick off meetings.
  • Solve complex problems or situations by determining appropriate solutions from available choices and well-established guidelines for assigned projects.
  • Possess strong computer skills such as MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project, Visio).
  • Define, develop, and gather assigned project requirements (business case, project charter, project scope, etc.).
