Engineering Lead (Human Defense Platform)

We are looking for a strong and mature Engineering Lead with expertise in creating solution designs and large-scale architecture to join our Data Engineering team. 

In this role, you will take charge of the team as well Back-end part of the solution. You will be a part of the HUMAN front line in our commitment to helping protect companies (and their customers in turn) from both revenue and reputation risk caused by malicious bots. 

CUSTOMER

Humansecurity.com is the global leader in bot mitigation. Our client protects over 200 enterprises, including the largest internet platforms, from sophisticated bots by verifying the humanity of nearly one trillion online interactions weekly. The most sophisticated bots look and act like humans when they click on ads, visit websites, fill out forms, take over accounts, and commit payment fraud. HUMAN platform stops them.  

PROJECT

As an Engineering Lead, you will need to take care of multiple components that are currently part of our solution written in Golang, Python, and Scala.  

In this role, you will lead the whole feature lifecycle development, cooperating with other Leads and a Product Owner.

Job Description

• Coordinating the team to deliver reliable solutions, data, and models, as well as prioritizing tasks to minimize time to value 
• Contributing to new technologies investigations and complex solutions design 
• Coming up with well-designed technical solutions and robust code 
• Working across diverse Product Management, Software, and DevOps teams to ensure that the whole solution meets requirements 
• Taking responsibility for delivering major features 
• Participating in requirements gathering and clarifying process 
• Developing core modules and functions 
• Performing code reviews, writing unit and integration tests 
• Utilizing best engineering practices (unit tests, code/design review, etc.) 
• Standing up for high-quality solutions and bringing new ideas to life 
• Taking part in technical discussions, listening to arguments, and applying critical thinking 

Qualifications

• 10+ years of development experience with Python, Scala, and Golang contributing into the Data Platform and internal solutions 
• At least 5 years as a Team Lead/Tech Lead, managing a team of 5+ engineers combining with architectural decisions and solutions implementation 
• Experience in creating solution designs and large-scale architecture, balancing between various types of constraints 
• Solid knowledge of SQL and deep understanding of RDBMS technologies 
• Solid practical experience in using algorithms and data structures 
• Experience developing data pipelines based on one of mainstream frameworks such as Apache Spark, MapReduce, Apache Flink, etc. 
• Experience with developing data lakes and data warehouses based on one of mainstream technologies such as Hive, Snowflake, Hudi, etc. 
• Experience in using tools such as Presto and similar ones 
• Solid understanding of technical excellence and hands-on experience with code reviews, test development, and CI/CD 
• Experience with GCP and AWS clouds 
• Experience in proposals and write-ups with a proven ability to determine pros and cons 
• Advanced level of English 

WILL BE A PLUS:

• Experience with the AdTech domain
