Department

The Center for Educational Partnerships (CEP) within the Division of Student Affairs at Cal State Fullerton is dedicated to building a pipeline of college success from outreach, admission, funding their education, community engagement, and career development. An essential component of the work within CEP is to develop, foster, and sustain partnerships and initiatives that ensure that all students, regardless of systemic, economic, or social barriers, have educational opportunities that will enable them to achieve their career and life goals. CEP is a learning community of mentors, educators, and student-centered advocates who provide and connect students to high-impact learning experiences. To support CEP efforts, we seek an exceptional individual to join our team as the Center for Educational Partnerships Coordinator (Administrative Support Coordinator II). Duties and Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the director of the Center for Educational Practices, the CEP Coordinator provides office support for the Center for Educational Partnerships. Plans, initiates, executes, and coordinates complex projects, large-scale campus events, and departmental activities with accountability for results. Processes and provides recommendations on operational and procedural matters, including payroll, travel, and budgeting. Uses knowledge of specialized policies and procedures to complete assignments. Responds to customers via email, telephone, and in person. Can utilize various office support technologies and systems, such as word processing and spreadsheet packages, to complete assignments. Coordinates and schedules all meetings and events for the director and the team as needed. Independently addresses a wide range of work unit problems, which require interpreting university policies and procedures and using ingenuity to assemble information in new ways. Coordinates and works with individuals at all levels, internal and external to CSUF, in a thoughtful and welcoming manner. Responsible for completing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Provides lead work direction and guidance to office student staff. Performs other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications

High School diploma or the equivalent and three years of experience in general office, clerical or administrative support  work or the equivalent. Training at a vocational school or full-time college education may be substituted for the required experience on a year for year basis. Comprehensive and detailed knowledge of applicable university infrastructure, policies, and procedures. Thorough mastery of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Expertise in using office software packages, technology, and systems. Ability to independently handle multiple work unit priorities and projects.
