About the role

Job Objective: This position provides administrative support to Corps Officers.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Receive, screen and direct incoming phone calls; assist callers as needed
  • Receive and direct visitors and clients
  • Maintain reception area
  • Provide data entry, typing, and general clerical support
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail
  • Manage office support functions
  • Supervises office services support staff
  • Provide oversight of equipment service and office facilities vendors as directed
  • Participate in budget preparation as directed
  • Maintain program and other files as assigned
  • Assist with creation, completion and tracking of forms and documents
  • Assist in preparation of payroll reporting as directed
  • Assist with preparation and maintenance of financial records as directed
  • Responsible for counting and depositing donations and other receivables
  • Maintain community services worker intakes and reports
  • Respond to requests for information and data
  • Prepare written responses to routine inquiries
  • Manage calendar for Corp Officers

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: High School diploma required; some college preferred

 

Experience: Minimum three years’ experience in related field preferred

 

Certifications/Licenses: None

Supervisory Responsibility:  None

 

Physical Requirements: Include speaking, hearing, vision and manual dexterity; standing up to two hours per day; sitting up to five hours per day; bending, squatting, and walking; lifting, pulling and pushing of materials up to 25 pounds. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions of this job.

 

Travel: Local; occasional

 

Driving: Must possess a valid driver’s license from the state of residence; must be approved through the Salvation Army Fleet Safety Program to driver either a Salvation Army or personnel vehicle for Salvation Army business

        

Working Conditions: Work is performed in a typical office environment.
