Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a Senior Design Manager to join our Marketing team.

About the role
The Senior Design Manager inspires and shapes Oscar’s brand. This role plays a dual function, acting as both a solid mid-level manager for our more junior designers, as well as a strong individual contributor who actively designs and produces their own projects. They should have the ability to work alone, in small teams and as a leader. They should be working with the highest standards of craft, creating inspiring work that ladders up to the Oscar brand standards and aspirations.
You will report to the Senior Director, Creative. This is a remote / work-from-home role. You must reside in one of the following states: Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, or Washington, D.C. Note, this list of states is subject to change. #LI-Remote
The base pay for this role in the states of California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Washington is: $108,000 - $141,750 per year. The base pay for this role in all other locations is: $97,200 - $127,575 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, and annual performance bonuses.
Responsibilities
- Lead the maintenance and development of our visual language. Explore concepts that evolve the visual thinking and concept of our brand
- Concept and lead the creation of all brand deliverables—be it material or experiential, editorial or environmental
- Own our design systems and help implement processes that allow teams to scale and ship creative quickly, reliably, and without compromise
- Lead the communication of design systems and thinking with our cross-functional partners on Marketing and Product. Be the go-to for design questions and brand thinking.
- Mentor, manage, and help recruit a world-class design team.
- Inspire a deeply creative culture.
- Work collaboratively and independently to solve complex problems and find creative solutions to strategic objectives and requirements.
- Own guidelines for brand thinking, from social to illustration.
- Provide constructive feedback and direction to external partners (agencies, studios, vendors), ensuring design best practices are upheld
- Listen actively and be an effective communicator, in writing and in person
- Give and solicit feedback from others in order to continually raise our bar for quality

Qualifications
- 7 years experience as a designer
- With 1-2 years experience as a manager

Pay Transparency:
Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience.
