Description
The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Texas A&M University College of Dentistry invites applications for a full-time (100% FTE), 11-month Academic Professional Track (Non-Tenure) faculty position based in Dallas, Texas, with an anticipated start date of September 1, 2026. The successful candidate will be appointed at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor or Clinical Associate Professor commensurate with qualifications and experience.
This is primarily a clinical-educator position. The principal responsibility is the didactic, preclinical, and clinical instruction and supervision of predoctoral (DDS) dental students in oral and maxillofacial surgery, with a secondary responsibility for the clinical and surgical training of residents in the CODA-accredited Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program. The position offers a collaborative academic environment, a high clinical volume, and the opportunity to contribute to one of the most competitive OMS residency programs in the nation.
Qualifications
A DDS, DMD, or equivalent dental degree from an accredited institution.
Completion of, or eligibility to complete, a CODA-accredited residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, or equivalent specialty training and clinical experience appropriate to the responsibilities of the position.
Must be eligible for licensure by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners.
Board certification or board eligibility with the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is preferred.
