Inova Fair Oaks Medical Office + Inova Lorton Family Medicine is seeking a self-motivated, high performing Registered Dietitian to join the bariatric surgery/obesity team. This role is full-time Day Shift (40 hrs/week) Monday- Friday. Schedule will include two days at Inova Fair Oaks Medical Office and two days at Lorton Family Medicine and opportunity for one remote day a week. We offer great pay based on experience! Registered Dietitian Job Responsibilities:
- The Registered Dietitian provides safe and therapeutic nutritional care in a comprehensive and systematic manner.
- Provides clinical services and acts as a resource to physicians, nurses and other professional healthcare team members, to provide patients with optimum nutritional care.
- Coordinates the nutrition care plan with the physician and other healthcare providers while serving as a resource in the integration of the nutrition care plan into the comprehensive plan of care for the patient.
- Formulates an individualized nutrition plan of care based on assessment findings and interpreting trends in patient populations to achieve best practice.
- May perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree minimum if licensed before 1/1/2024; Dietitians registered after 1/1/2024 must hold a master’s degree with accredited dietetic internship.
- Certification:
- Registered Dietitian (RD) required within 3 months of hire
- Basic Life Support from American Heart Association required within 3 Months of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
- New grad candidates with interest in bariatrics/obesity welcome to apply
- Candidate with a strong interest in an ambulatory setting
