Role Overview

Shooter Detection Systems is looking for a knowledgeable and dynamic Pre-Sales Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will act as the technical expert during the sales process, aligning our advanced detection solutions with the unique needs of each client. Your technical insight and solution-oriented approach will be crucial in supporting sales objectives, driving revenue, and enhancing customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Demonstrations: Conduct compelling product demonstrations and presentations to potential clients, customizing the content to address their specific needs and challenges.
  • Solution Design: Collaborate with clients to understand their technical requirements and business objectives, designing solutions that leverage SDS's technology to meet these needs.
  • RFP Responses: Lead the technical aspect of proposal development and responses to RFPs, ensuring that all technical solutions proposed are feasible, cost-effective, and meet client requirements.
  • Sales Cycle Support: Provide ongoing technical support and expertise throughout the sales cycle, assisting the sales team in achieving their targets.
  • Product Feedback: Serve as a liaison between the sales team and product development teams, conveying customer feedback and market demands to help guide future product enhancements.
  • Customer Education: Organize and deliver workshops, webinars, and training sessions for both customers and the sales team to deepen their understanding of SDS's products and best practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • Proven experience in a technical role, such as engineering or technical support, with a preference for those who have worked in a pre-sales capacity.
  • Deep understanding of security systems, network infrastructure, and integration principles, preferably within the gunshot detection or broader security industry.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to a varied audience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a creative approach to solution design and customer satisfaction.
  • Familiarity with the sales process and the ability to contribute to sales strategy and execution.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support sales efforts and customer engagements.
