As the Director of Product Management for Concur Expense, you will have a dual charter. You will be accountable for ensuring high Product Standards are met for our flagship Concur Expense product, while also being responsible for specific Product-level ownership of key topics within the Expense portfolio. Acting as an Individual Contributor member of the Product Management Leadership team, you will lead Product Managers globally and drive key projects to success.

 

Focusing on adoption, satisfaction, revenue, and ultimately profit for our portfolio. you will work both at a judicious and hands-on level, within Concur Product & Engineering, across other product teams to ensure that we have products that fit well within the SAP Suite, and are market leaders in countries and segments where we focus.

 

You must have a strong focus on outcomes, not outputs, ensuring we solve customer problems vs. simply shipping a collection of features. You will develop an understanding of the SAP Concur business, with an in-depth understanding of the Concur spend portfolio, competitive landscape, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats and speak to these with multiple audiences.

This role reports to the SAP Concur Head of Spend Products.

 

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS:

Monitor, track, and report on progress towards roadmap goals.

Responsible for driving product reviews, ensuring operational discipline within the Product org.

Represent SAP as a thought leader, ambassador, and evangelist of Concur, especially Concur Expense.

As a Lead Product Manager, embody the spirit of an Empowered Product Team, focusing on frequent product exploration, data-driven learnings, and product-led growth.

Coach and mentor Product Managers as we shift to this new Product Operating Model.

Anchor to the priority sequence of People > Product > Usage > Satisfaction > Revenue > Profit.

Ensure the right organizational construct, with clear responsibilities, accountability, and empowerment e.g., “don’t ship the org chart”.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

10+ years in Product Management or a related field (Engineering, Product Portfolio Management, Solution Management, Product Marketing) with 5+ years in a senior leadership position.

Extensive experience of building a culture of excellence and high-impact delivery.

Experience delivering Software as a Service offerings to enterprise customers.

Ability to communicate vision and strategy effectively to the team, partners, and customers.

Ability to deliver high quality under deadline pressure, while juggling multiple tasks in complex environments.

Strong organizational skills. Strong people leader, role-modeling SAP’s “how we run and lead” principles.

Intellectually rigorous with creative problem-solving ability. Ability to operationalize best practices is required.

Experience delivering SaaS software is required.

Experience managing global teams is desired but not required.
