Maxar has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Benefits Analyst to join our team in Westminster, CO. The Benefits Analyst will report to the Manager, Benefits, and will conduct analysis, evaluate benefits programs, and partner with the Manager, Benefits to ensure our employees receive competitive and compliant benefits packages. This role requires a strong understanding of benefits administration, data analysis, and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Supports the strategic development, design, implementation, communication, maintenance and compliance of US and global employee benefits programs.
Responsible for day-to-day management of benefit programs including, but not limited to, health, wellness and disability benefits, 401(k), FSA, and HSA to ensure continuous improvement, accuracy, and timeliness in administration and systems.
Manage the administration of leave of absence programs, including FMLA, ADA, and other state and company-specific leave policies. Collaborate with third-party administrators, HRBPs and payroll to ensure accurate leave tracking and record-keeping.
Provide outstanding customer service to employees for their benefits needs, including managing the ticket queue, answering employee questions and partnering with benefits brokers, carriers and third-party administrators to resolve claims and other issues.
Summarize and analyze various benefits data including reporting and analytics to evaluate plans, vendors, and policy changes, track budget vs actual expenditures, and provide actionable insights.
Partner with the Benefits Manager on the annual Open Enrollment process including drafting communications, updating the benefits portal, testing the enrollment system, answering employee questions, and ensuring accurate processing of elections.
Partner with the Manager, Benefits to analyze the effectiveness of benefits policies, guidelines, and procedures and recommend and implement changes.
Monitor federal, state, and local compensation and benefits laws and regulations in order to ensure company compliance and accurate filing of 5500s, SARs, ACA and other required filings.
Support benefits-related projects, such as plan design changes, vendor selection, and implementation of new programs, as well as communications to employees and system updates.
Develop, implement and manage wellness programs.
Requirements:
Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
At least 5 years of proven experience in health, welfare and retirement benefits plan design and administration
Demonstrated, comprehensive knowledge of benefits programs and administration practices.
Experience researching, modeling, and implementing new benefits vendors and programs.
Proficiency in HRIS and benefits administration systems; experience in Workday strongly preferred.
