Job Description

We are on an exciting journey to transform our business processes and modernize our technology footprint here at NBCUniversal! The Enterprise Product, Corporate Core organization has end to end responsibility for the product strategy for our Finance, HR, and Source to Pay functions. We are looking for a Director, Source to Pay to lead the definition and implementation of an over-arching Source to Pay process, application consolidation and destination platform build up strategy, including SAP and non-SAP solution design, solution architecture, roadmap development and operations. This is a leadership role within the organization and will be reporting directly to the VP, Enterprise Product, Corporate Core.

The successful candidate will have a self-starter attitude with a passion and drive to perform work that is highly complex, varied in nature, and span multiple functional areas including sourcing, services procurement, operational procurement, supplier management, invoice management and accounts payables. This role will be responsible for designing complex SAP solutions and guiding configuration and functional design while leading a team of configuration team members and managed services provider in the source to pay area. The candidate will be responsible for working with product leaders, business solutions and engineering partners to define the product strategy and an implementation roadmap, informed by a prioritized set of business requirements. This individual will also seek to ensure the optimum utilization of existing system platforms and their integration while considering and / or facilitating the justified deployment of new technologies in response to business requirements. Specific responsibilities include:

• Lead NBCU’s Source to Pay process and application landscape transformation, leveraging a combination of S/4 HANA, Ariba and other destination platforms (Apex, Vroozi etc.)
• Be the Product lead for current Apex Analytix tool implementation for vendor onboarding
• Lead the vendor master clean up exercise in preparation for our upcoming transition to S/4 HANA, along with formulating a strategy to convert from vendors in SAP ECC to business partners in S/4 HANA
• Understand NBCU business processes requirements by engaging with business solutions counterparts at enterprise and division level
• Lead the development of an aligned long-range plan and execution roadmap to optimize and standardize processes, and consolidate applications
• Drive agreement and consensus on process design and destination platform strategy in conjunction with process owners and engineering teams
• Craft adaptable, comprehensive, and feasible SAP solutions by creating necessary blueprint documents for functional requirements and technical specifications
• Design functional solutions to solve business problems and needs
• Perform fit-gap analysis via discovery by engaging with business units and SAP team members
• Review and/or participate in solution build and test activities on SAP implementations, rollouts, or upgrade projects; may be asked to step in to conduct project management activities from time to time
• Lead end-to-end implementations plus engage as solution architect simultaneously with other SAP projects that are in progress. This requires cross technical/functional team project management.
• Effectively delegate responsibilities to team members, provide them with repeatable processes, and verify the quality of their work.
• Review work performed by other team members as per established standards
• Review current standards and revise to ensure best practices
