Tanner Clinic has an immediate opening for a Central Suppy Tech.

Location: Layton Antelope A

Hours: FT

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Stock Central Supply rooms. 
• Prepare various items to be sterilized. 
• Clean, package, sterilize, and distribute instruments. 
• Clean and stock procedure rooms each week as needed. 
• Unload supplies from the dock area and distribute to the proper locations. 
• Collect bio hazardous waste and package for disposal. 
• Collect linen bags
• Purchase supplies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Requirements:

• Six months Central Supply work experience preferred. 
• Must be able to lift 30 pounds unassisted. 
• Must be able to be on feet for entire shift including walking, pulling, pushing, twisting, lifting, and walking up and down stairs. 
• Basic computer knowledge. 
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision. 
• Excellent communication skills. 
• Organized, detail oriented, and professional.
• Ability to multi-task
• Excellent time management skills

Performance Requirements:

Knowledge:

• Knowledge of medical terminology and organization services.
• Knowledge of individual responsibilities to accurately direct callers.

Skills:

• Adequate hearing to answer phone.

Abilities:

• Ability to use multi-line phone system, including transferring calls and paging.
• Ability to speak clearly and loudly enough to be heard by callers.

Equipment Operated: Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.     

Work Environment: Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.     

Mental/Physical Requirements: Involves sitting approximately 50 percent of the day, walking or standing the remainder.
