The Sr. Finance Manager, Global Franchise FP&A will play a pivotal role driving FP&A processes and reporting for the Heart Recovery franchise.  This position will report directly to the Heart Recovery Sr. Director Global Franchise and will work closely with the Heart Recovery CFO and finance leadership team to proactively drive financial performance and meet expectations.  In addition, the Sr. Manager will directly lead a regionally based global team in the establishment of a new operating model and be a change leader as Heart Recovery continues to integrate into the JNJ Ways of Working.

Key Objectives and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the global, regionally based, Heart Recovery FPA team
  • Key partner to Heart Recovery BUF, Global Services and Group Finance
  • Connect across teams, processes and reporting in support of data driven decisions to maximize value creation
  • Responsible for orchestrating all forecasting processes and deliverables, working with the Heart Recovery finance leadership team to proactively identify risks and opportunities to support business growth objectives and deliver financial expectations
  • Partner with Sr. Director Global Franchise to establish a Heart Recovery global operating model with both Abiomed and VWave internal partners as well as those across J&J
  • Collaborate with Heart Recovery admin function leadership in support of budget management, including BvA’s and other key reporting metrics as well as adhoc analysis as required
  • Lead compliance requirements for FPA in scope cycles and applicable controls
  • Provide effective coaching and direction to team through developmental mentorship and performance evaluation, building a high performing, engaged team
  • Support ad hoc FPA projects as the need arises


Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required; Advance degree preferred (MBA)
  • A minimum 7 years of professional experience as a Finance Business Partner, with experience in a cross-functional environment is required
  • Previous global FPA experience, across all financial statements (i.e. P&L, BS, CF), including data analytics and dashboard creation preferred
  • Proven track record of continuous improvement is required
  • Experience leading and working in a fast-paced dynamic environment is required
  • Ability to influence senior leadership, motivate change, and build followership is required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills, and capable of communicating sophisticated financial concepts to non-Finance colleagues is required
  • Must be highly organized with the ability to lead multiple projects/tasks simultaneously and successfully prioritize them. Attention to detail required.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills; tenacity to learn, analyze, and resolve situations is required
  • Capable to work through ambiguity with a proactive approach is required.
  • This role is located in Danvers, MA and may require up to 25% travel.
