Senior Accountant

<p><strong>Mission </strong></p> <p>We have a fantastic opportunity in our  Finance Team based in Neuwied, Germany.   This is a challenging role in which you will part of our Consolidation, Accounting and Reporting (CAR) Team ensuring accounting Integrity across various areas including P&amp;L, Tax and Treasury. </p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <p>Reporting to CAR Manager Germany and Eastern Europe Duties will include:</p> <p>● Ensure accounting integrity and documentations based on local GAAP and IFRS including Tax matters (Corp Tax Returns) </p> <p>● Manage month-end close and manage interactions with Business and Controlling Team </p> <p>● Ensure all financial reporting (P&amp;L, Full B/S and Cash flow) for his/her area / unit / organisation </p> <p>● Ensure quality of Internal Control of financial processes </p> <p>      ● Coordinate internal and external audits and any possible Tax audits and completion of statutory accounts </p> <p>      ● Manage treasury activities and cash forecast </p> <p><strong>Reporting / Accounting : </strong></p> <p>● Manage month-end closing activities delivering a full trial balance, financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income statement and cash-flow) </p> <p>● Ensure that month-end, quarterly and year-end reports are completed accurately and on time </p> <p>● Analyse financial data and creating reports for management, stakeholders : </p> <p>○ Monthly volumes, price &amp; margin analyses by product and customer </p> <p>○ For industrial activity, responsible for cost and production update and analysis; manage unit cost update and gap analysis; monitor production cost vs budget </p> <p>● Manage project accounting : supporting the calculation of POC (percentage of completion) and monthly review of projects business performance </p> <p>● Provide financial data to support site management and controlling </p> <p>● Validate provisions and accruals </p> <p>● Responsible for monthly reporting in the Group tool (Magnitude) </p> <p>● Maintain accurate and complete financial records : submission of all ancillary accounting obligations ● Responsible for local annual audit </p> <p>● Preparation of Statutory Financials books of accounts with compliance to audit ● Manage Capex: accounting, definition of useful life &amp; depreciation method in respect of accounting Standards </p> <p>● Monitor Regulatory changes of accounting </p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Tax </strong></p> <p>● Responsible for statutory filings, supervise tax filing, tax returns and manage possible Tax Audits ● Monitor Regulatory changes of taxes </p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Cash management </strong></p> <p>● Manage treasury activities and weekly cash flow forecast </p> <p>● Contribute to credit management including new customers credit profiles assessment.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Internal control </strong></p> <p>● Ensure management procedures are put into practice, contributing to projects and driving implementation of new solutions in finance </p> <p>● Ensure quality of internal control (in particular anti-bribery control) </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Requirements </strong></p> <p> </p> <p>● 5 - 8 years experience in a finance position </p> <p>● Completed commercial training plus certified accountant / or bachelor’s degree in accounting </p> <p>● Deep knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP, IFRS), practices, standards, laws and regulations, tax computations </p> <p>● Design and implementation of process improvements and controls. </p> <p>● Ability to handle complex financial information and financial risk </p> <p>● Excellent communication skills in German and English </p> <p>● High level of efficiency and accuracy </p> <p>● Attention to detail and ability to manage multi tasks / project and meet tight deadlines, is analytical and highly organized </p> <p>        ● Work comfortably in a highly collaborative setting, have a confident and outgoing personality,     </p> <p>      ● Proficient in financial software as SAP, database and Microsoft &amp; Google suite package </p> <p></p> <p>Calderys Group</p><p><br/></p><p>Calderys is a leading global solution provider for industries operating in high temperature conditions.
