About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled 3D Animator specialising in claymation to create a series of short videos featuring the character for a meme coin-related personal project. This role offers an opportunity for an experienced claymation expert to bring a cryptocurrency mascot to life through brief, engaging animated sequences. The project requires creativity, technical skill in stop-motion animation, and the ability to capture the essence of internet meme culture in claymation form.
Responsibilities:
- Create 5-10 second claymation videos featuring the character
- Develop storyboards and concepts for each short video
- Design and sculpt the character and any additional elements in clay
- Set up and manage the animation studio space (lighting, camera, set design)
- Execute stop-motion animation techniques to bring the character to life
Requirements
- Proven experience in claymation and stop-motion animation techniques
- Strong portfolio showcasing claymation work, particularly short-form content
- Proficiency in animation software and video editing tools
- Excellent sculpting skills to create and maintain clay characters
- Creative storytelling ability to convey concepts in very short timeframes
